NVQs in Care

What are NVQs in Care?

The term National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) means the qualification has been approved by the Qualifications Curriculum Authority. NVQs in Care are based on standards set by the Care Sector and are recognised by employers in the UK and abroad.To gain an NVQ in care you will be assessed in your normal work setting performing familiar tasks to the required standards, having gained underpinning knowledge through our NVQ distance learning packs or workshops.


What can NVQs in Care do for you?

NVQs in Care are for those already working in care and who want to gain a qualification to improve their standards and further their knowledge in their working environment.

They offer the opportunity for personal development and enhance career prospects. Gaining the health and social care NVQ level 3 award provides a career path into Nursing or Management and the ability to work abroad in certain countries.


What's next

Before undertaking your NVQ in Care you will need your managers written permission for our assessors to go in to your workplace and observe you at your work.
