Hi sallyanne6,

Health and Social Care Act 2001 plus your setting's policies and procedures.

Hope that helps

Hi, I am stuck on one more question before completing HSC336. Can anyone help please. It is question no. 9: Explain ways in which feelings of anger and frustration can be displaced from their original sources to those in authority and how to deal with this.
Can anyone help please.?

Hi sallyanne6,

Example:

Fred is on the waiting list for a hip operation. He can't walk properly, he's in pain and he is getting frustrated. You see him struggling to walk and helpfully remind him that he should be using his stick. He shouts at you and hits out. This is displaced anger, he is putting his frustrations onto you because you are a symbol of his need for care and support when he just wants to be fit and independent.

What do you do, shout back at him or calm him and use empathy to show him that you understand his frustration?

Think of an example from your own experience.

Hope that helps
