Hi linlee,

You might need advice on your contract or it could be about your health and safety rights eg bullying, pay, holiday rights, sickness rights etc.

Hope that helps

Hi,
I understand why we have laws relating to employment, but I am struggling with the task that asks me to list them, there are hundreds of different acts and legislation. Are we expected to list them all?

Hi Milkinmaid,

Just outline the main ones eg that cover the minimum wage, health and safety, working time regulations, unfair dismissal etc.

You can add that other legislation such as the Human Rights Act, the Disability Discrimination Act and the Data protection Act also apply.

This is a good site:

Hope that helps

Does anyone know or can help, what would be the consequences if you failed to follow the correct policies and procedures in a care setting.

Thanks

Hi Emma,

Inquiry into why the procedures weren't followed, loss of employment if you are found negligent, possible criminal record, family could sue ..just a few I can think of
