Hi dianefoley,

Imagine if an individual has been used to using the stairs but has recently started to be unsteady and made a grab for the carer. The carer feels unsafe and wants her to start using the lift instead but the individual insists on using the stairs. What would you do?

Think about a risk assessment.

Hope that helps
