Hello,
Direct could be only offering support e.g. to female residents
Indirect could be carer making assumptions like e.g. everyone drinks tea so only offers this.

When talking about direct and indirect discrimination occurring in the work place it would be good to use examples to explain what you're talking about and to show you've got an understanding.
