Hiya, just need a bit of guidance on this section.

Q. Describe ways to resolve any difficulties or dilemmas about the choice of food and drink

Is this question basically suggesting that you can offer them something else to eat and/or ask them what they would like to eat??

Q. Describe how and when to seek additional guidance about an individual's choice of food and drink

Is this for things like allegies, or looking in their care plan to check what foods they like and dislike. Whether or not they're diabetic etc???

Q. Describe factors that help promote an individual's dignity, comfort and enjoyment while eating and drinking

I'm not too sure on this one?? Is it things like if they are capable of eating themselves then you should let them, allow them to add salt and pepper to their taste?? Not to interrupt them too much whilst eating???

Q. Explain why it is important to be sure that an individual has chosen to finish eating and drinking before clearing away

Obvious things like they may still be hungry, they may take longer than others, they may need assistance with eating or they need the toilet etc???

Q. Explain the importance of monitoring the food and drink an individual consumes and any difficulties they encounter
loss of appetitie due to illness?
weight loss due to lack of eating?
Dislike of foods?
Struggle with eating solids and deals better with a soft diet?

Am i on the right track? anything you think i should add to these questions??
thank you.

Hello,
Ok for first question, remember to include asking for advice and support.
2nd question is asking how and when you seek advice etc. not what you would seek this for: remember question has 2 parts, how and when
3rd one. Making sure they are sitting comfortably, have clothes protectors, suitable cutlery and so on
4th ok, add something about respect, how would you like your half eaten dinner to be whipped away?
5th ok
You need to make sure you answer the questions and not go off at a tangent about something else.
Good stuff.
