equal opportunities act 1991

Hi

I'm a new starter. Having difficulty finding this act on line. Every other year, but not 1991. Can anyone help?

I can't get hold of my assessor. Do you think it would be acceptable to refer to Equal Ops Act (1995)?

Hi JanM,

Although lots of legislation relate to Equal Opps., eg the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, the Race Relations Act 1976, the Sex Discrimination Act of 1975 and the Human Rights Act 2000, there has been no Equal Opportunities Act.

There are, however the Equality Act 2006 and the Equality Act 2010.

I'm asked to write down why the Equal Opportunities Act (1991) was put in place. Isn't it odd that I'm asked this when the act doesn't exist?
