Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities)
Regulations 2010 Awareness Training
This legislation came into force on April 1st 2010 for all NHS providers and for Adult Social Care providers comes into force on the 1st October 2010. This means that across all 28 regulated activities which are defined by this new Act, there will be a common legislative framework for Health and Social Care. It introduces Outcomes and Regulations which have to be evidenced and also introduced a framework of compliance. This compliance framework is set out for all services in the Care Quality Commission document, Essential standards of Quality and Safety.
There is, in addition, a Code of Practice which is relevant to Outcome 8, Regulation 12 which forms part of the legislative framework.
W&P Care Training Centre are pleased to offer an Awareness Workshop which introduces you to the new legislation and its key points.
The Aim of the Workshop
To provide learners with an overview of new regulatory system and Outcomes.
Workshop Objectives
By the end of the session participants will:
• Recognise the practice implications of at least 2 of the new outcomes.
