Using the Personnel Forms

These forms are intended for use as templates which can be easily changed and updated as required eg the job description template is currently for a care worker but can be used for any post and the template ensures consistency of style and content.

The interview questions, again are for a care worker and there are a selection of 15 questions for you to choose from. These can be easily replaced with questions for a different post, but all posts within the organisation will share the same scoring and appointing system which gives consistency during the recruitment and selection process. The careworker file index sets out the evidence required to comply with the Health and Social Care Act (Regulated Activities) regulations 2008, Outcomes 12 and 14.

Remember: The Common Induction Standards from Skills For Care have recently been updated and there are now 8 specific standards which are covered within the induction process. These refreshed standards are mapped to both the guidance about compliance from the care Quality commission, refer to above, and the Code of Practice for Health and Adult Social Care on the Prevention and Control of Infections and related Guidance.

In addition appendix B, schedule of applicable publications, contained within the Care Quality Commission’s guidance about compliance, has comprehensive lists of guidance available under Outcome 12, 13 and 14. These are the three Outcomes covering Suitability of Staffing.

Employment law guidance is available from the ACAS website which provides a comprehensive and easily accessible service to businesses regarding the employment of staff.
