Hi,

As a new domiciliary start-up can I assume that Regulations 18 and 19 are what is required to meet CQC compliance?

Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave,

Yes, with a but, you need to be up to date with current employment law practice. Unless you are going to join an insurance-based HR Service provider we always recommend the ACAS service for small businesses. This is absolutely free and there is an employer help line where you can talk in confidence and they will advise accordingly. If you go down the insurance provider route you must use all their forms and follow their advice, or you are not covered. Remember there are other Regulations which complement 18 and 19 such ass Safeguarding, because staff are the frontline of defence in the prevention of abuse.
